Dump of captured German equipment, Isigny-sur-Mer.

Located near the junction of the D196 and D203 roads at the hamlet of La Madeleine, near Isigny-sur-Mer this field contained a large amount of captured German equipment.

A number of GI's can be seen in the background near a NSU "Kettenrad" type HK 101SdKfz 2

and a large pile of tracks. Closer to the camera can be seen a Sdkfz 251 Ausf. D half track, a Stug III assault gun with a Saukopf mantlet. Two Renault UE (origiinally built for the French Army) coverted with frames for launching Wurfrahmen 28/32cm (sf) rockets. Also in the lineup are 3 Pz V Panther tanks facing away from the camer and 3 Pz IV tanks, the one nearest the camera apparently having burnt. Also seen further back is the rear of an armoured car, possibly a Sd.Kfz. 234/2 "Puma" and what may be a Marder III tank destroyer.
