Lieutenant-General H.D.G. Crerar arrives to carry out an inspection

Lt General Crerar arrives in his jeep in this picture taken on the 26th of July, three days after his promotion to lead the 1st Canadian Army.

The General was arriving at the 3rd Public Relations Office Group. The passenger in the jeep is carrying the Generals jacket and was probably the Generals assistant Major Austin.

The officer approaching to greet the general is Lt Colonel R.S Malone, officer commanding 3rd PRO group.
