British or Canadian motorcycle riders work on their mounts in place du Marché (then called Place de la Mairie) in Courseulles-sur-Mer. A civilian truck followed by a horse drawn cart head out of the square in the direction of Graye-sur-Mer or Bény et Reviers. The building on the other side of the square has a direct hit by a large shell during the fighting.
