Sappers of the 164th Engineer Combat Bn clear rubble

This 734 strong unit finished coming ashore on June 30th 1944 under the command of Colonel H.F. Cameron. It was put to work repairing roads and bridges. It was attached to the 1110th Engineer Group, 1st US Army.
