A Sherman of The South Alberta Regiment, 4th Canadian Armoured Division pokes its nose out from cover in St. Lambert-Sur-Dives in this photo taken by Lt. Grant on the 19th of August. They were right to be cautious, to the right of the picture on the right hand side of the road is the remains of a German Tiger tank. It has suffered a massive internal explosion that has blown its turret into the hedgerow, with only the gun tube visable. As late as 1975 parts of this Tiger were being found in the hedgerow by a collector called Alain Roudeix.

The infantry seen here are members of B Company The Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders of Canada (Princess Louise's Own) are advancing out of St. Lambert-Sur-Dive towards Moissy and Chamboisdown the D 13 road.
