This was the furniture company of Gestapo collaborator Julien Lenoir.

The village of Caumont-Evente was liberated on June the 13th at 09:00 by Company F, 26th Infantry Regiment, 1st ID with support from the 742rd Tank Battalion, their opponents were Infantrie Division 277.
