US Engineers drill what appears to be a bore hole for reaching the water table. This may be during the construction of one of the General Hospitals that moved over from Britain during July. The 5th General Hospital embarked at Southampton and unloaded on the 6th becoming operation on the 31st and the 50th which embarked in Scotland
and began to setup in France on July 28th admitting its first patient on the 14th of August.
