Canadian of the Cameron Highlanders keeps watch, Falaise

A Canadian soldier has chosen a novel place for his sentry post in this picture taken on the 17th of August in Place Saint Gervais, Falaise. On the left of the fountain is a sign pointing the way to "FELGENDARMERIE 884" although it may be assumed that the German Military Police had not stayed behind to keep the new management in line !
