German POW's await transfer to Britain

These German prisoners relax in front of the sea wall of Bernières sur Mer. Behind them is post Wn (Wiederstand Nest) 28 which formed part of the "Atlantic Wall" defences in that area.

This post was garrisoned but Company 5, II Battalion, Grenadier Regiment 736 of Infantry Division 716.
