Knocked out Shermans, outside Rots Church

Two Shermans knocked out in the fighting to liberate Rots stand silently outside Rots Church.

They belonged to A Squadron of the Fort Gary Horse which supported the British 46 Royal Marine Commando and the French-Canadian Régiment de la Chaudière (3rd Cdn ID) during the battle to take control of Rots from the 12th SS Panzer Division (HitlerJugend) on the June the 11th 1944.
