A M10 TD of the 703rd TD Battalion moves with great caution past the La Bruyère crossroads 2km from Rânes. They had cause to be careful, they have just past on the right of the picture a burned out Sherman from one of their sister units.
The area had seen close fighting, on the left of the picture is a destroyed SdKfz 7 prime mover towing a Flak 18 88m gun, with the corpse of one of its crew lying dead beside the road.
