After four years of struggle members of the Resistance movement get the opportunity to meet some of the Allied troops who have helped liberate them from the German occupation.

With the glasses and beret is Jacques Morel, who was the leader of the local resistance. The coloured troops in uniform are French Army colonial troops captured in 1940 and used as forced labour by the Germans.

The Americans are members of the 1st ID, picture taken in Couterne which was liberated by the Americans on the 14th of August 1944.
