US Army Engineers equipped with a D7 Bulldozer named "Booger Kid" work to clear a crater from a road west of St Lo. Troops of the 30th ID look on, possibly its is their halftracks held up further down the road.
The Engineers were Company B, 49th Engineer Combat Battalion, part of the 1106th Engineer Group.
The 30th ID covered the left flank of Operation Cobra on the 25th of July.
