A busy scene in a US communications center located in the basement of château de Chiffrevast (west of Tamerville, north of Valognes) Many members of the US Army Signal Corps can be seen at work.

The previous occupants of the château was Generalmajor Karl-Wilhelm von Schlieben, Kommandeur of 709 infanterie division and his HQ before their rapid eviction shortly after the D-Day landings. The property at the time was owned by a M. Raoul Le Doux, whose opinion of all these uninvited guests can only be imagined.
