Troops of the 18th Inf Reg (of the 1st Inf Div) or the 115th Inf Reg (29th Inf Div) coming ashore either on the afternoon of the 6th or the day after.

The location is near St-Laurent-sur-Mer, near the German Wn64 and Wn65 defensive positions that by this point had been captured by previous waves of troops.

One of the troops is carrying a large roll with the inscription HEIN, probably a tent.

On the beach some DUKW can be seen, with a line of infantry moving inland.
