Canadian soldier gaurds German POW's on Juno Beach

Corporal Victor Deblois of the Régiment de la Chaudière (3rd Canadian Infantry Division) squats next to German soliders captured in the fighting around Juno Beach on D-Day. They were probably the survivors of Wn 28 " La Cassine" at Bernières-sur-Mer.

They were members of 5 Kp. du II/ Grenadier Regiment 736 of the Infantry Division 716.
