A French man and a girl pass the remains of a Simca 8, along with the body of its unfortunate passenger. Both are wearing "Sabots" or wooden clogs.
Despite being a car of French manufacture this one was pressed into German service. This one bears the insignia of
116. Panzer-Division "Windhund" and also the insignia of motorised artillery, meaning this car probably belonged to Panzer-Artillerie-Regiment 146. (both to the left of the spare tyre)
