GI's are served Coffee in a French run canteen

Four young French women serve a GI with coffee and milk. The milk appears to Carnation evaported milk. Behind the first GI is another wearing glasses. The GI in front is wearing the Marksman Qualification badge, and the Army Good Conduct medal.

The canteen was one of many "Victory Club" canteens run by the Red Cross, and the French workers were Red Cross volunteers.

The GI is Cpl Charles C. Murphyel of Brooklyn, N.Y and the picture was taken July the 29th 1944.
