US Army Engineers repair dockyard railway

A team of US Army Engineers work to repair a dockyard railway at Cherbourg dock. Two GMC 353 and a Dodge WC.

To the right of this quay where the current policestation is located there was a camp for Russian female civilians who were used by the Germans for forced labour.

The picture was taken on the 13th of July 1944 and the unit is the The 347th General Engineer Service Regiment.
